The Academy of Performing Arts would like to extend an invitation to theatre goers all over the state of Utah. Come with us, far out into the oceans of the world as we take you on a magical journey, deep into the mysterious underwater kingdom of Hans Christian Andersen’s, “The Little Mermaid”. A cast of 30 local actors will create the illusion of this production with the aid of theatrical effects, elaborate costumes, richly colored lighting and creative set designs. “The Little Mermaid” is adapted, written for the stage and directed by Academy founder, Collin Kreuzer. “Mermaid” will open on May 1st at the Masonic Temple, located at 650 East, South temple in down town Salt lake City. Mermaid watchers may catch a rare glimpse of these fascinating creatures as they rise to the surface every Monday, Friday and Saturday evening at 7:30, through May, 22nd.
